Prologue 6: The Innocent Sin
Bright, full moon tinged with red for some reason that only an astrologist would know, dark clouds parting to reveal it's full face behind the silhouettes of a young man and woman leaning towards each other as if for a kiss. But, at the final moment as the clouds wisp away before the moons sanguine glow, the girl veers sharply, opening her mouth wide and sinking her teeth deep into the man's neck as he gasped in surprise and agony.
'Gosh, what a clichéd scene,' Reena thought, red eyes returning to a deep green color as the last pulse of life vanished from her prey. The girl felt no guilt about the act, not out of malice but out of a sim

Prologue 5: Priest of Thieves
Hinton stood, wiping his mouth of the blood from his latest victim. He was surprisingly tall, towering over Kara as she looked up at the priest. He was bald, though in a way that suggested less of age and more of a simple nonexistence, but he had an imposing goatee that framed a sadistically curved mouth, blood still running down one side into his beard. He had a hawk like nose, but the thing that most stood out about the man were his eyes. They were normal enough, but they were an odd shade of purple that would often swirl hypnotically. "The strength of a person's soul can be seen through their eyes, disciple." he was fond of saying, often m

Prologue 4: Nature's Wrath
"Darkness was where she began, and darkness would be where she would end. But then, there was a spark."
'Foolish Humans!' the girl thought, 'What do they think they're doing with my trees?!' She was hanging, or rather standing, upside down on a tree branch, her long black hair hanging down around her head as she watched a group of humans working below. They were large men, obviously used to the kind of work they were faced with, toting axes with handles at least as long as she was tall. They wanted to settle a new town here, and were resolute in the task of clearing the forest in the area away to make room, and worked tirelessly from the mom

Prologue 3: The Arcane Archer
Three of the bandits fell dead, looks of surprise just barely making it onto they're faces as blood flowed from the arrows protruding from their heads. As would be expected, the rest of the camp was soon in an uproar and surrounded their fallen companions, the food on their plates still warm as they stared lifelessly into the fire. The arrows were all at odd angles, impossible to guess where the origin of the attack was, and the men were in a panic.
"Settle down, you worthless pack of dogs!" a man growled, stepping out from his tent, "This is no time to have your tails between your legs!" He turned to the woods, scanning the dark forest as a

Prologue 2: The Dark Dragon
The thing about Dragons? They all have a treasure
Roren walked confidently through the halls of the old castle. He could sense dark energy emanating from the dungeons of this place, and to be frank, he wanted whatever was creating it. He was tall, maybe 6' in height, and wore strange black armor that looked like it was made from scales. The helmet was stylized like a dragon's head, with Roren's own face shown through the open maw. He could here noises echoing through the halls of the ruined castle, decimated by some conflict from ages past, the scraping sounds of claws against stone. Roren cocked his head to the side, listening intentl

He was restless. The beast strained against his bonds, and to his amazement, they gave, if only slightly. This was what he had been waiting for, the sign that his time was nearly hear. He lifted his head for the first time in years, since he was first imprisoned, and looked about. The darkness was fading away, he was rejoining a world he'd been sealed away from for far to long. He strained once more, green eyes blazing with power he'd thought lost forever, and yet only a fraction of what was to come. A chain shattered in the darkness, the first sound he'd heard in what felt like a millenia.
He grinned a sharp, sadistic grin.

Has any when else noticed that Richard has been giving incredibly mixed messages/signals in the last few pages?
That's all I really have to say about Richard, perhaps not enough to justify his inclusion in the title, but I felt it had a nice ring to it and why make two journals when I can just tag it to the beginning of one? Anyways, I'm sure you all remember the story that I was thinking of writing in spite of the fact that I've failed to write it for so long that even Jessica has stopped nagging me about it. Basically, whenever time has abandoned me, the story comes to mind, and I realized I've been considering perhaps giving it a "modern
